*Not to be confused with an air conditioner, anevaporative air cooler is a fan that also benefits from additional humidifierand cooling functions.

Using the humidifying function an air cooler will usecold water vapour from the water tank to reduce heat in the air which isflowing through the unit, whilst in cooling mode the addition of ice packs canhelp to produce even cooler air. 

Air coolers require a constant flow of air from an open window/door to efficiently work.
